Registration Instructions: 2008 USPA National Skydiving Championships Thank you for your participation in the 2008 US Nationals! We want to make the registration process as painless as possible. We do not have a means to register teams on line, but preparing your registration in advance will save some time. Please follow these instructions. First, download the Individual Entry Form for the discipline you are competing in. There are five disciplines: Formation Skydiving, Canopy Formation, Classics, Artistic Events, and Vertical Formation Skydiving. Most of you will be participating in just one discipline. If you wish to enter more than one discipline, you must confirm with the Meet Director that the competition schedule will not overlap! We cannot guarantee that you will be able to enter more than one discipline if they are scheduled for the same time frame. Within each discipline are one or more events, for example within FS you might choose to enter 4-way and 16-way, or for that matter all four FS events. In each discipline you may enter any or all events, but only on one team per event. While events in different disciplines may run simultaneously, events within a discipline will not run simultaneously. In other words, 8-way FS and 4-way CF may be running simultaneously but 8-FS and 4-FS will not. The General Registration fee of $50 paid by every competitor is only paid once, so if you do cross disciplines, (example, entering 4-way FS and 4-way VFS) you only pay that fee once. Note on your individual form “paid on 4-way FS” in the blank on your VFS sheet. For every other entry, there is a fee specific to the event. Alternates do not pay this fee. Enter “alternate” in the fee segment. If you do jump as an alternate, it is up to you to work out a settlement with the team member you stepped in for. Videographers are considered a member of the team and they do pay the fees. (We request the videographers name separately on the team sheets so we may contact them if there is a technical problem.) For example, a 4-way FS team can consist of up to six members, but only five are in the air on any one competition jump. Therefore, only five pay the event and jump costs. The alternate only pays the one time General Entry fee of $50. Once you have completed the individual forms, you need a team form for each event your team is entered in – one form per team. Please check carefully to be sure everyone on your team meets the eligibility requirements spelled out in the Skydiver’s Competition Manual. If they do not you must register as a guest team and are not eligible for medals. When you arrive, the registrar will check your completed forms. (These can also be completed when you arrive, but you will save some time if they are filled out in advance.) A note on prices: event fees are based on the cost of running the event divided by the estimated number of participants, based on attendance at the past few Nationals. Jump prices are linked to the current price of fuel. That price has been dropping significantly in the past few weeks and we hope to lower our jump price prior to the Nationals! REGISTRATION FORMS
